Das Dorf wurde bereits 1421 urkundlich erwähnt und gehörte, bis ins 17. Jahrhundert einer deutschen Adelsfamilie.
An der Flußmündung liegt ein kleiner Hafen, an dem auch die Fischfabrik liegt.
Leider gibt es keine weiteren Infos über diese Fischfabrik und es ist auch nicht bekannt, wie lange sie schon leer steht.
