Zalissya is a town right on the border of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and looks like a typical rural Ukrainian village, except for the fact that it is completely abandoned of course. There are many tiny houses in the village which are easy to enter and most of them still have some personal items left behind by their owners when the town was evacuated in May 1986. The insides of most of the buildings have been exposed to the elements for years so it can be quite dangerous to enter certain buildings. Tired of tiny houses? Some other buildings in the village are a small supermarket and the palace of culture.
