In 1911 werd het baby-en kinderziekenhuis geopend. In eerst instantie konden hier max. 40 zuigelingen tot een leeftijd van 2 jaar behandeld worden.Naast de chirurgie afdeling was er een afdeling KNO en huidziekten. Naast de moderne medische voorzieningen had dit ziekenhuis een eigen koeienstal met 36 koeien en een eigen melkveebedrijf. Er was een auditorium voor artsen en verpleegkundigen in opleiding. Een speciaal aangelegd park zorgde voor frisse lucht. Op het laatst had het ziekenhuis ca.100 bedden.In 1997 werd het ziekenhuis gesloten.Sindsdien is het in verval geraakt.
Wij konden onder een hek door kruipen om binnen te komen. Alles in in slechte staat.Onlangs ( mei 2021) is er nog een grote brand geweest op een zolderverdieping.
Ondanks de slechte staat vonden wij het toch best geslaagd.

Zombie hospital used to be a hospital for children.
The hospital was built in the beginning of the 1900s and finished 1911-12. It had a park and even a few cows to produce milk for the patients. The hospital was closed down 1997, approx 86 years after it opened.
It was sold 2005 to an owner who didn't take care of it, and then again resold to the city in 2015. Now there are plans to build apartments here (very soon it looks like?).
Nowadays the buildings are near ruin, but there is still very beautiful grafitti here and whole rooms painted with hearts, bananas and such. This is a classic urbex spot that might disappear soon because there are many builders on the sight and the fences are kept up much better now than before.
Around half the yard there are already apartment buildings with windows facing the ruins.
A few dangers with holes in the ground and because the main building has burned there are many buildings that have unsafe roof. The entrance building is boarded up and hard to get to, this is also where the heart room is.
A neighbour watches the area very closely, no guests allowed, not even zombies.
