With few people in the community that I share info with, I was fortunate to receive this location for a trade. It was probably the furthest I’ve driven for any expedition and the longest I’ve walked to reach a destination. The costal jaunt was roughly an hour on an entire beach made of shells. No sand, just pearly yellow and orange bellybutton shells. I did what any nature obsessed female would do and collected the ones that sparkled the most with an iridescent glow. In the grass, random tall trees had large ospri nests. Ospri are hawks that reside near water. They soared to and from their nests with whatever sort of ocean finds in their beaks to feed their young. At some point I noticed an over grown path and continued to follow it until the landscape changed; the thicket and trees became dense. Finally, I came upon a dome, wrapped in vegetation. The roof was caved in areas, and showed rotting framework. There was nothing but trees surrounding the theater and when I looked at the rest of the peninsula, it was merely open land. We went inside to view a very spray painted, rotting theater, with moldy seats and a floor that squished with each footstep. Intense sunlight leaked in through the openings of the old structure, and illuminated all of the colorful graffiti and mustard-colored upholstered seating.
The theater was the only standing structure from a deserted beach community bulldozed since the bridge to it Burnt. The vacationers could no longer access their summer homes, and I'm only speculating when I assume the town didn't have the means to pour into a very massive construction project. That's as much as I know.
