Visit duration    1 hour

By accident I found the location of this place, before hearing of it.
I found out the location is called Stone Age. Some sites call it Mini-Watt, but that seems to be a different place in Belgium.
This used to be a factory where bricks and stone pipes were made.

So without any expectations I set out, on a sunday afternoon to visit the brick factory and furnace called Stone Age... And what a pleasant surprise it was!

Before going further: the building is partially collapsed and rotten, so be careful when visiting.

It is by far the largest building in the environment, in the middle of farmland.
There are not much neighbours, but people can see you from far entering.

Once inside I was pleasantly surprised: almost everything was still there, as if 50 years ago everyone left and dit not return: baked bricks, unbaked clay blocks, a large diesel engine, wooden racks... No grafitti or signs of vandalism, mostly natural decay.

The site consists of 4 main building: a furnace, 2 building were clay and baked bricks were stored and a building with a diesel engine, tools and forgery.

There are really nice long catwalks in the storage building where you can take nice pictures (be cautious: no railing, the ladders are sketchy and there are holes covered by rotten wood and debris).
The furnace is cool, but entering it requires you to climb and the furnace is partially collapsed and there are exhaust pipes in the ground which can easily break your ankle.
The building with the diesel engine is a nice exploration, there are wheels to drive conveyor belts and a forgery and tools laying around. This building also is collapsing.

Outside there are some storage sheds with furniture, but not much to see. A fun detail were 3 "NASA Rockets" build from scrap metals, probably made for kids.
