Sleepy in the Verona’s countryside, this 16th century building is like a picture gallery open 24 hours a day.
Certainly a residence for the Moneta family in the summer, this structure is frescoed inside, by famous artists of the time such as Farinati, Falconetto and Ridolfi, in a different way in each room. Angels, rural scenes, references to ancient Greek poems (such as the "kidnapping of Europe" or the "legend of Priam and Tisbe") adorn every cm of this palace.
The time and various attempts to recover (made vain by the lack of funds) have given a really particular aspect to this place.
A really unusual detail is the "donkey ladder" (in vulgar Italian "mussi ladder"), made in a helical way where pack animals were able to climb without too much effort, to go up into the barn.
