This house WAS one of my favorite locations before it blew up on the urbex map. Recent visits have proved that people like to f stuff up in their efforts to “stage” effects in a way that suits their personal photography goals. I stage too, it’s no biggie, but since I’ve returned, I’ve noticed whole rooms reduced to just a few props with all of the other belongings tossed Willy nilly in the neighboring bedroom.
On this particular adventure, I dragged my boyfriend along. It took some coaxing since he’s not into exploring derelict buildings as much as I am. So I agreed to sport a suggestive dress with my hair coiled into two messy Micky Mouse buns. He took some of these pictures on my IG profile, and I linked a dark fictional story to one them, a poem to another. A side note: I don’t expect urbex photographers to read my writing unless they’re into reading. I delight myself in combining words with pictures. On my different account, I made an extensive report about the explore itself and grazed over the property’s history, which is unique. Part of the reason it’s standing unattended is that it was left to skedaddled town to go to a cushy drug rehab in one of the four corners of The southwest. the historic house property had been in the family since 1850.
