I decided to meet up with a friend from a different online community who knew of an abandoned location. I stumble upon so many rad locations by accident, but in addition to that, I have non urbex friends who clue me in when it comes to derelict properties. She insisted that it remain a surprise. In her hometown, a pool club that she attended as a child had been shut down for years but left standing with all of its effects. Most of the pools overflowed with murky, green water. One of them had vines hung over the pool edge. Lawn chairs and benches were scattered. A colorful hopscotch game was painted on the concrete, barely showing beneath crusty weeds. There was a diving board and a twisty slide that led into the deep end, but I enjoyed the overall view more than the specific features of the premise.
