This was a surprising found, because this hotel is located near where I live, I’ve been here several times when I was a kid, and I didn’t know that it closed down. But apparently it did about 8 years ago.

In its brighter day, the building was a 3 stars hotel and restaurant in a beautiful little village near the Danube.

Unfortunatly I couldn’t find any infos about why or how it closed down. It seems as they left the place in a rush, leaving everything behind. Papers and bills scattered around, untouched kitchen utensils, computers and phones still in their place. Seemingly, the last thing was some kind of painting workshop in the restaurant part, because there is paint and paintings all around that area.

Interestingly, when I searched the place online, on many websites it looked like the hotel is still working. On the facebook page of the hotel they say that the building is „under construction”.

Meanwhile, there is no sign of any renovation there. In fact, the building is in bad conditions, mold is eating up the walls. I would recommend to wear a mask when you go there, I doubt that it is healthy to breath that in.

Other than that, the building is safe, easy to access, and no one bothered us when we were there. There were signs of homeless people living there, but we didn’t meet anybody.

There’s also an underground pool next to the hotel, but I think that it deserves its own report.
