We nemen je mee naar een afgelegen en verlaten huis waar de tijd lijkt te hebben stilgestaan. Dit is geen gewoon verlaten pand. Alles is achtergelaten, van meubels tot keukengerei, maar wat ons het meest verbaasde, was de ongelooflijke boekencollectie die elke kamer vulde. Waarom zouden mensen zoveel boeken achterlaten? of uberhaupt hebben?

Terwijl we door dit verlaten huis dwalen, stuiten we op duizenden boeken die nog steeds op hun planken staan, onaangeroerd en klaar om ontdekt te worden. En dat is niet alles. We vinden ook een uitgebreide verzameling muziek, allemaal achtergelaten en in verrassend goede staat. Het is alsof de bewoners plotseling zijn vertrokken, hun sporen uitgewist, maar hun passie voor literatuur en muziek achterlatend.

Maar wat is het verhaal achter dit verlaten huis? Waarom hebben de eigenaren al deze eigendom achtergelaten? En waarom is alles nog steeds zo netjes georganiseerd?

We take you to a abandoned house where time seems to have stood still. This is no ordinary abandoned house. Everything has been left behind, from furniture to kitchen utensils, but what amazed us most was the incredible book collection that filled every room. Why would people leave so many books behind - or have them at all?

As we wandered through this abandoned house, we came across thousands of books still on their shelves, untouched and ready to be discovered. And that's not all. We also find an extensive collection of music, all abandoned and in surprisingly good condition. It is as if the residents suddenly left, their traces obliterated, but leaving behind their passion for literature and music.

But what is the story behind this abandoned house? Why did the owners leave all this property behind? And why is everything still so neatly organized?

Vandaag open ik de deuren van een verlaten huis in Frankrijk, ergens in een rustig dorp bezochten we deze prachtige locatie, een dorp met minder dan 1000 inwoners. Het was noodzakelijk ver te parkeren en zeer discreet naar de locatie te gaan en vooral onopgemerkt binnen te komen. Dit is ons gelukt.

Ik kon mijn ogen niet geloven toen ik binnenkwam. Het is alles wat een urbexer wil zien. Er was verval, schimmel, maar het was ook intact!

Het is 14 jaar verlaten geweest, althans dat denken we. De kranten in het huis dateren van 2008. Het huis is vernoemd naar de vele boeken die in het huis gevonden zijn, het was overweldigend. Ik denk dat hier een gepensioneerd echtpaar woonde, die welvarend waren. boven leek het op slaapkamers van kleinkinderen.
