The palace was built in 1826 and its diversified architecture is classified as both Renaissance Revival and Baroque Revival. It was once the residence of the local nobility: Strachwitz, Gaschin and von Donnersmarck. Before the palace was erected there had been a mension made entirely of wood (1676). What is really impressive, is the fact that the palace remained intact during WWII. After the war it was tranformed into an orphanage, however later - in 1963 - the place was used as a hospital. After the fall of communism the palace lost its private investors and started to go to rack and ruin - its roof and towers collapsed. Presently the building is gradually being renovated...


Pałac został wybudowany w stylu secesyjnym, neorenesansowym oraz neobarokowym. Był dawną siedzibą rodów Strachwitz, Gaschin oraz Donnersmarck. Zanim wzniesiona pałac , istniał tutaj drewniany dworek zbudowany najprawdopodobniej w 1676. Co ciekawe pałac przetrwał w stanie nienaruszonym II wojnę światową. W czasach powojennych pałac pełnił funkcję domu dziecka,natomiast w 1963 przerobiono go na szpital rehabilitayjbo-ortopedyczny. Po upadku komunizmu pałac stracił właścicieli i zaczął niszczeć, część budynku została zalana przez deszcz, a w niektórych miejscach zawaliły się wieże oraz dach. Obecnie pałac jest w rękach prywatnych inwestorów i jest stopniowo odrestaurowywany...
