Cette maison appartenait au recteur d’une importante université située non loin de là. Microbiologiste, physiologiste et biologiste marin, le recteur bénéficiait d’une solide réputation internationale dans ses domaines de prédilection. Il exerça son rectorat pendant près de vingt ans et marqua véritablement l’histoire de l’université en initiant son déménagement vers un site boisé.

Après son décès en 1974, il semblerait que la maison soit restée inoccuppée.

Petit à petit dépouillée des richesses d’une vie que l’on imagine bien remplie au vu des quelques éléments personnels encore présents sur place – quelques diapos prises aux quatre coins du monde, des carnets d’adresses bien fournis, de la correspondance… -, la maison ne contient plus comme élément notable qu’un authentique piano à queue Pleyel, probablement trop volumineux pour être emporté discrètement.

Peu de traces pour un homme qui compta à son époque... Cela m'évoque cette citation d'Alfred de Vigny : A voir ce que l'on fut sur terre et ce qu'on laisse, seul le silence est grand; tout le reste est faiblesse.

Hele mooi villa aan een rustig straatje.

Het hoogtepunt van dit bezoek was uiteraard de bekende vleugelpiano. Onbegrijpelijk dat mensen dit achterlaten.

Uitzoeken van de locatie was nogal tricky, maar zeker en vast een bezoekje waard!

There's little known about this house. The center piece is definitely the piano with marvellous wooden detailing. The previous owners probably travelled a lot as there were travelling photos scattered everywhere. For more you can check out our YouTube video!

Een prachtige villa met als toppunt een intacte vleugel. Ook de trap en het kantoor boven zijn zeker nog de moeite waard om te fotograferen.

De base je devais faire d'autres spots mais j'ai vu que je n'étais pas loin de ce check alors je m'y suis rendu c'était franchement ma meilleure décision de la journée c'est une chouette maison un peu vide mais le piano dans le salon vient combler ce vide en donnant tout un charme a l'endroit
