A big Castle that is abandoned for a couple of years.
The owner of his castle died a couple of years ago in there Villa somewhere else. The castle was in love for thief’s so the owner decided to buy a villa and going to live there with his wife. His wife died a year after her husband. They get the age of 90+.
This castle will be demolished so we are glad we still had the chance to make some wonderful pictures of this amazing castle.

Wat ooit een enorm mooi kasteel moet zijn geweest, is nu herleid tot 1 grote ellende.

Veel rommel en vandalisme, buren die enorm vaak de politie bellen en instabiele verdiepingen.

Mooie buitenkant, maar vanbinnen niets meer over van alle pracht en praal van weleer.

Zonde!

Wordt ook afgebroken om er appartementen te bouwen.

Malheureusement le château d'or vit ses dernières heures. À cause de l'afflux abondant de curieux, les voisins en ont eu marre.

Il devrait être démoli sous peu. Même si certaines pétitions essayent de l'empêcher.

L'un de mes plus beaux URBEX. On ressent encore la présence de la famille. Cet endroit est digne d'un compte de fée et on s'y perd pendant plusieurs heures.

Chateau d’Or ofwel het gouden kasteeltje, een locatie waar ik wel een paar uurtjes zoet ben geweest. Heel mooie locatie, maar heel weinig nog aanwezig en heel veel stuk gemaakt. Zeker de moeite waard, voor hetgeen wat er nog is. Weet wel niet wat er nu meer de locatie is, de eigenaar is nog niet zo lang geleden overleden.

We had a long day because we visited several other urbex locations but i still want to see this place.

Vandaag eindelijk eens naar chateau D’Or geweest.
Was vandaag een mooie dag, lekker zonnetje. Dus dat wil zeggen veel wandelaars en als ik zeg veel dan bedoel ik ook echt veel. We hebben echt lang moeten wachten toch we binnen konden gaan zonder gezien te worden. De ingang was ook niet zo makkelijk, de hekken die er staan hangt redelijk wat prikkeldraad rond. Maar uiteindelijk toch een goede ingang gevonden. Eerst hadden we onze bedenkingen omdat er ook op verschillende plekken politielint hangt. Maar eenmaal op het terrein was het echt een top locatie! Zeker dat de zon er doorkwam deze namiddag. In het kasteeltje zelf kwamen we ook nog een ander duo urbexers tegen.
Vind het echt een mooie locatie vooral vanaf de buitenkant!

Ik zag deze locatie steeds vaker voorbij komen en wilde er zelf zo graag heen! Even speuren en op in de auto naar deze locatie.
Toen we aankwamen was de ingang makkelijk te vinden, Toen we het terrein op liepen waren er nog een aantal andere urbexers.
Ondanks de drukte vond ik dit een zeer gave locaties echt een unieke plek!

Wat een pareltje, dat je dit nog kunt vinden in ons belgenlandje!!

Dankzij een mede-urbexer deze locatie kunnen bezoeken (TNX).

We reden eerst een paar rondjes rond de locatie om te zien waar we konden binnengaan, want dit bleek toch wat anders te zijn dan op google Earth. Gelegen in een woonwijk was het immers opletten om niet gezien te worden als je deze locatie betreedde. Gelukkig ging alles vlot, ondanks dat er politielint en geel blad voor hing, dus wss zal dit binnenkort gesloopt worden, zonde eigenlijk.
Zo'n prachtlocatie zou moeten gerestaureerd worden, maar helaas...

Qua meubels, bleef er niet veel meer over, het hoogtepunt was het bed en de rolstoel binnen. Het meest memorabele was het exterieur, iets wat je niet meer tegenkomt in België.

Zo'n goeie 2 uurtjes hier gespendeerd, want we hadden nog locaties te doen die dag!!

Blijft een aanrader om te doen!!! weinig tot geen vandalisme ( behalve de keuken, daar ligt alles kapot op de grond gesmeten, precies zoals op een griekse bruiloft, haha)

The Golden Castle is a small castle somewhere in Belgium. It’s made up of three buildings and a swimming pool. In the garden, there’s a pretty fountain. However, inside the buildings, it becomes very clear that it has been abandoned for a couple of years. The former owner left the property because the renovation works would cost millions of euros.
The castle itself is definitely worthwhile as it has some gorgeous stained-glass windows. There's also a lot of family pictures which makes it even more special. In the second building, there has been a fire.
Unfortunately, this location will be demolished sooner rather than later. The access has however apparently become a bit harder as of today, probably because there were a lot of people there when we visited.

The golden Castle is een unieke locatie in België, je ziet niet vaak zo'n chateau leegstaan. Het is een magisch gebouw. Het doet me wel zeer om te weten dat de locatie niet lang meer zal blijven rechtstaan.

Ik heb niet veel terug kunnen vinden over de geschiedenis van deze locatie, ik weet wel dat hier een oud koppel heel lang heeft gewoond. Je kan je ook wel inbeelden hoe het geweest moet zijn vroeger. Er stonden zo goed als geen meubels meer in de Chateau, er hing een geel formulier aan de poort. Ik vermoed dat dit gebouw zal gesloopt worden om plaats te maken voor nieuwe huizen. Ik vind persoonlijk dat ze deze locatie zouden moeten renoveren, niet slopen.

De locatie vinden was op zich niet moeilijk, we wisten direct dat we op de juiste plaats waren door de politielinten. Bij de Golden Castle waren al enkele keren mensen opgepakt, na klachten van mensen in de buurt. Er is heel wat vandalisme in de keuken, alle borden zijn op de grond kapot gegooid. Maar naast dit, vond ik wel dat er zo goed als geen vandalisme was. Dit maakte het voor mij enorm leuk!

Voor mij was het hoogtepunt van de Chateau toch wel de tuin, er was een hele mooie fontein aanwezig. Alsook vond ik het zwembad aan de achterkant van de Chateau ook wel mooi.

De Chateau was zo goed als leeg vond ik, maar er waren nog heel veel familiefoto's te zien. Wat het voor mij juist iets persoonlijker maakte.

Deze locatie moet je gedaan hebben, is een aanrader. Het is ook niet duidelijk hoe lang deze nog toegankelijk zal zijn. Ik vond The Golden Castle zeker wel de moeite!

La visite de ce magnifique domaine me laisse sans voix quand je sais qu'elle va être détruite.

Une belle architecture ne devrait pas être victime de destruction mais plutôt de rénovation.

Quoi qu'il en soit j'ai été ravie de visiter un tel endroit. Mais énormément de souvenir familiaux jonchent les différentes pièces.
