This place you're about to see was brilliant. Great architecture and a surprisingly nice day in Scotland.

We set off hopeful as it was our first time exploring in Scotland. We arrived at the lane that led to the house and were greeted by a small lodge on the front of the property. The lodge was inhabited by a lovely old lady who had lived in the house prior to it being abandoned. She described all the features that were barely recognisable in the pictures at all anymore. The actual building was an old school but it was part renovated and has now slipped into disrepair. She explained that a local millionaire was keen to bid on the property to renovate it. After speaking with the lady we asked if it was advisable to enter and if she wouldn't mind us taking a look. In the end all she asked was if we wouldn't be too long then it wouldn't be a problem.

Walking up the road to the property everything was beautifully overgrown with an equally beautiful stream running alongside. The building stood just at the end of the lane and entry gained via the back. The inside had been virtually destroyed as mentioned prior and apart from the rotting floors and random banging noises it was a nice little explore. I've tried my best to capture the rooms moods with my edits and went abit over the top on the exterior shots. All in all the place was great and the old lady even more so.  We were handed an email address of hers but have since misplaced it. Just gives us another reason to go back!

Keep safe and don't forget its always worth asking!
