This explores is closer to heart than anything else. This former church lay untouched for years owned by a prestigious family in the area whom of which i have become very close to. Infact she is my girlfriend haha. The site backs on to a popular and busy business nestled in between rows of terrace houses so entry would not be advisable without prior consent!
The explore: The doors to the place were opened for myself by a member of the family that owned it. The first floor was completely ripped out but all the other levels (3 tiers) had some very quirky architecture and fixings that still remained. Once on the second level the compactness of the place became very relevant. Over hanging seating above the main seating area and spot for where an organ would have once lay. To my surprise the doors were still covered in a blue felt material with the original cast iron door handles. I also forgot to mention that the building was already started being demolished. Access to the site is now near impossible as there is only half a building left!
To sum it up the place was a treasure trove for pictures and explorers like myself.
Thanks for looking,
