Today we explored Clawdd Manor! The house was built over 100 years ago and has been abandoned since the late 90s.
Clawdd Manor was under the ownership of the Lyne family for decades until the death of the Cecil Lyne in 1979. It was then purchased, and is still owned by Celtic Manor Resort.
Unfortunately the owner has left this place to crumble, and with no security defense it has unfortunately been vandalised and fallen into quite a derlict place - some floor boards are even caving in!
Overall this was an amazing explore and well worth the visit in our opinion.

Been here a few times over the years but never really took any photos, decided to revisit and take some.
History.
Clawdd manor was built 1907, designed in the style of a French chateau.
The deeds dated 22 May 1907 show that the land (19 acres) was leased to Mrs Anne Evelyn Lyne, 'the wife of Ernest Lewis Lyne' a land agent. The thirty pounds a year ground rent was paid to the 'Charity called The Church Lands in the Parish of Christchurch'. One of the conditions was that at least one thousand five hundred pounds was to be spent erecting the house and stables
The deeds also stipulated that the property was to be painted inside every ten years and outside every five.
Clawdd Manor was owned by the Lyne family for decades until the death of Colonel Cecil Lyne in 1979. After the colonels death the manor was sold and later became a successful BnB.
In 1995 Clawdd was up for sale again. This time it was purchased, along with other properties and land by the Celtic Manor.Since then it has been allowed to fall into ruin, subject to arson attacks.
