The infamous City United Methodist Church in Gary, Indiana - very easy to find and access. There is a policy of needing a permit for police-free frustration in Gary for the day but the general word on the street is that no one has once ever been stopped and asked for their permit. Also note: The permit does not actually cover this building because the city deems it unsafe. In reality, it is shifty in parts but not any more-so than some of the other buildings in the city that are "allowed" to be explored. This place is a pretty great backdrop for pictures in multiple different seasons which help change the mood.

This church has been a huge sight for urbexers, locals and tourists alike. Located in Gary, Indiana, the once largest Methodist church in the US now stands abandoned and empty.
