I am standing on the roof of one of the apartment hotels in Pyramiden. I look out over the hospital, towards the glacier and up the pyramid-shaped mountain. My eyes are constantly drawn to the mine, that’s where I want to go. Labyrinths underground, where it’s dark and scary, that’s my dream.

The harbor in Pyramiden is sinking. There is a large boat wreck next to us when we get to the island. Everything is rusty, wobbly and insecure. Once I was on solid ground, I immediately started looking for large, yellowwhite polar bears. Luckily we never saw any, even when we were out on our own, but they were ever present in my mind.
