Access was actually quiet since we had to climb a couple of chilling warm pipes with just one degree outside. :D
Usually this location is quiet busy but we had a rather quiet day.
Just try not to go on Saturdays because the supermarkt next to it is quiet busy then.
Also watch out to not be seen by security during the week.

Hallo zusammen,
Ich war nun zum zweiten Mal in der Zeche, und bin immer wieder beeindruckt. Zugang haben wir uns durch ein Kleinen schleichweg im Gebüsch gesucht (gibt aber mehrere).
Das Gelände ist ziemlich groß, aber Achtung da die Zeche zurück gebaut wird (leider ist das erste Gebäude grade voll im Abriss), ist dort Bauwatch und überwacht die Bagger usw. Also bleibt man besser von den Maschinen weg. Ansonsten ist die Halle mit den Wagenumlauf und der Bremsbühne sehr interessant und toll zu fotografieren.

When we got at the location we saw it was getting demolished.
a couple of the buildings were inaccessible.

There were some cameras but the cameras were pointed at te demolition site.

The inside was beautiful. the bright yellow made it perfect for pictures.

After some hours investigating, and talking to other urbexers.
We found out there were 2 cameras and 3 "schutzwache" Security.

We ignored all and went in.
Unfortunately, the demolition has started.
After only seeing a small part of the property, we were seen by security.
On this signal, we left.

The part we have been in was in bad technical shape.
But we found a newspaper dating back to 2009

One of the jewels of abandoned industry in Europe. A huge mining complex, packed full of machinery.

Keep in mind that this place is appearantly up for demolition, but at the time of my visit, there was no work being done. Some parts of the building have alteady been dismanteled but for the most part, everything was in a relatively good condition, there was pretty much no vandalism and a proper heavy-industry-flair to it.

There are some semi-active buildings, stay away from those.

I would advise you not to just see the mine cart tracks and leave, as the rest of the complex is just as fascinating. If possible, I´d say take about a day for this.

As long as it still stands, it remains a must see for fans of abandoned industry.
