This is a fun and really amazing house to visit.

There is a lot of stuff gone unfortunaly.. but i though it was really worth to see it!
The paintings on the walls, you can see somebody really takes the time to paint them.

The floor is also really beautifull.
All the details in it is amazing!

The bedrooms upstairs are suprisently in a good state.
There a picture on the wall from a husband and wife, with under that a bed fore a baby.

For me this was a amazing house to explore and take beautifull pictures!

Nous avons le plaisir de visiter la maison de ces deux artistes, bien qu'a notre arrivée le lieux était vidé de son mobilier, il en vaut vraiment le détour. L'atmosphère qui en ressort est vraiment magique, c'est vraiment triste de voir un tel lieux abandonné de la sorte.
Malheureusement nous avons appris qu'il allait être rapidement détruit pour que des appartements soient construits ce qui est vraiment dommage quand on peut voir la beauté de ces lieux et des trésors qui 'y trouve.

De Grappigste locatie tot nu toe. Nog compleet ingericht met wel wat vernielingen. Midden in bewoond gebied opletten dat niemand je ziet binnen glippen. Een feestje, want de echte urbexplek bevind zich niet in het voorhuis, maar aan de achterzijde is nog een huisje die deze locatie heel bijzonder maakt.

This location is my top 1 i give this location 5 stars
this was the hot spot of the location what a gem it was but it was also art and that makes it so beautiful really wow it was like walking into the efteling and living in a fairytale 💖

Een van de mooiste locaties die we al hebben gezien.

Jammer genoeg zijn ze met de sloop begonnen (alles wordt leeggehaald en er komen appartementen op dit stuk grond).

De piano, de schilderijen, de muurschilderingen, ... in 1 woord: prachtig.

Je waant je in een andere wereld.

Ik ben blij dat ik deze locatie nog heb kunnen bezoeken in al haar glorie.

Dieser Ort war das Hauptziel meiner Belgien Reise. Schon ein halbes Jahr zuvor, suchte ich nach dieser Perle von einem Lost Place. Es dauerte eine halbe Ewigkeit, bis ich den entscheidenen Tipp bekam, wo sich dieses Gebäude befand. Am späten Nachmittag kam ich an der gesuchten Adresse an. Von außen wirkte das Haus eher unscheinbar und nicht wirklich auffallend. Der Zugang zum Gebäude, befand sich auf der Rückseite des Geländes und somit musste ich mich unauffällig durch den Garten vorarbeiten, was leichter gesagt war als getan. Durch die späte Uhrzeit, war die Feierabendzeit eingebrochen und die Straßen und Gehwege waren ziemlich belebt. Nichtsdestotrotz wagte ich den Einstieg durch den Garten, trotz der vielen Menschenmaßen. Auch wenn mich einige Passanten sahen, wie ich das Gelände betrat, schien es fast so, als würde es Sie nicht interessieren was ich da tat. Endlich geschafft, stand ich nun vor dem Eingang und hätte niemals erahnen können, an was für eine wundervolle Adresse ich hier geraten bin und dann auch noch komplett ohne Vandalismus.....

Nach diesem heiklen Start stand ich vor der leicht geöffneten Gartentür die ins Hausinnere führte. Doch bevor ich mich dazu entschlossen hatte, ins Haus einzutreten sah ich, dass das Nebengebäude auch leer stand, weshalb ich erstmal dieses Haus inspizierte. Jedoch wurde hier schon alles ausgeräumt und somit verbrachte ich nur einen kurzen Augenblick im besagten Haus. Zurück an der Gartentür war ich nun bereit dafür ins Maison Peinture einzutreten. Drinnen angekommen, war ich sprachlos. Sowohl von der unberührtheit und vorallem wegen des natürlichen Verfalls. Aber dies ganz ohne auch nur irgendeiner Art von Vandalismus zu sehen, war natürlich die Krönung. Das erste Zimmer war eine Art von Vorraum. Mit einer Menge von selbstgemalten Gemälden, wo einzelne Bildelemente auf die Bilder draufgeklebt wurden was mir sehr gefiel. Angrenzend an diesen Vorraum, waren hier noch das schön gestaltete Badezimmer und die große geräumige Küche. Doch das beste war die Holztüre, die in den verblüffenden und einmaligen Wintergarten führte, weswegen dieses Haus auch so bekannt war. Ich hatte schon den Türgriff in meiner Hand, als ich plötzlich die Sirene eines Polizeiautos hörte und mir gingen wieder die Passanten auf der Straße durch den Kopf. Könnte es Ihnen vielleicht doch nicht so egal gewesen sein, dass ich mich hier ins Gebäude reingeschlichen hatte und Sie deshalb die Polizei riefen. Doch ich konnte aufatmen, das Polizeiauto fuhr vorbei. Doch es war seltsamerweise nicht das letzte mal an diesem Tag, dass ich im inneren des Hauses äußerlich eine Polizeisirene hörte.
Später am Abend klärte ich mir diesen Fall jedoch auf. Denn ich fand heraus, dass das Polizeirevier ganz in der Nähe vom Maison Peinture lag und deshalb mehrmals täglich die Polizei vorbeifuhr.

Es war ein atemberaubender Moment, als ich endlich den Türgriff, der in den Wintergarten führte nach unten drückte. Dieser Augenblick war so fesselnd, dass ich ihn stillschweigend begutachtete und mich ohne zu rühren, mehrere Minuten genoss. Es war fast so, als wäre ich in ein unberührtes Leben aus längst vergangenen Tagen geraten, wo die Zeit schon seit Ewigkeiten stillgestanden war. Wie gerne hätte ich in diesem Haus mal einen ganzen Tag Sorgenfrei und ohne Verpflichtungen verbracht. Einfach morgens aufstehen, in der bescheidenen Küche einen Kaffee kochen, dann in den gemütlichen Wintergarten setzen und sich danach an der Eleganz der Wandgemälde und der dazu harmonisch passenden Einrichtung zu erfreuen. Dazu dann noch ein paar Stunden mit der Malerei beschäftigen und wenn's mal zu viel wird, einfach ein paar Minuten Ablenkung am Klavier verschaffen, um wieder zu klaren Gedanken zu kommen. Aber es sind auch die kleinen Dinge, wie die Zwerge oder die sehr einzigartig gestaltete Uhr, die diesen Raum zu einem der besondersten und stilvolsten Orte machte, den ich jemals besuchte habe.

Die letzten Bewohner dieses Hauses waren ein Künstlerehepaar. Doch dieses Ehepaar lebte nicht alleine in diesem Zauberhaften Haus, denn es wurde von 3 Generationen der Familie bewohnt. Zum einen das Künstlerpärchen Namens Alfons & Susann, dann von ihrem Sohn Andre und von Susanns Eltern, die Jan & Maria hießen. Sowohl Alfons als auch Susann, waren über die Jahre immer mehr in der Künstlerszene bekannt geworden und somit hatten Sie sich einen höheren Namen in besagter Szene gemacht. Aus diesem Grund, sind in der Zeit des leerstands leider einige der Gemälde aus diesem Haus gestohlen worden. Leider sind Alfons und Susann schon vor einigen Jahren verstorben, aber würden Sie heute noch leben, würden beide demnächst ihren 100 jährigen Geburtstag feiern. Zurück blieb ihr Sohn Andre, der es wohl nicht alleine mit den Erinnerungen im Hause aushielt und fort zog. Über die Jahre, war er ein erfolgreicher Bahnradfahrer, was man an diversen Pokalen im Hause sah. Ab und zu soll er wohl mal im Hause nach dem Rechten sehen, wobei er inzwischen auch schon im Alter von 60 Jahren sein muss.

Abschließend kann ich nur noch sagen, das Maison Peinture (oder auch Maison Fairytaile genannt) wohl das Highlight meiner Belgien Reise war. Es war der spannendste und eindruckvollste Ort, den ich bisher je besucht hatte. Leider mache ich mir aber große Sorgen um dieses Haus. Ich kann nur hoffen, dass sowohl die Zwerge, als auch der Göttliche Beistand im Hause, weiterhin die Vandalen fern hält, wie sie es bisher auch getan haben. Es wäre mir lieber, dass dieses Haus an einem natürlichen Verfall stirbt und nicht durch Vandalismus durch den Menschen. Traurigerweise wird dies, auch bald im laufe der Zeit passieren. Die ersten Wandgemälde bröckeln schon teils von den Wänden. Im Wintergarten hat sich ein riesiger Riss an der Wand neben dem Klavier seinen Weg von oben nach unten gebahnt und wird bald das Haus in zwei Hälften zerreißen. Das schlimmste jedoch ist der Dachboden, den man vermeiden sollte zu betreten, denn dieser ist an der hinteren Hausseite schon teils runtergebrochen und es ist nur noch eine Frage der Zeit und der Witterung, bis er komplett zusammenkracht und in die unteren Stockwerke bricht.

Ich würde mir so sehr wünschen, dass dieser Ort niemals verschwinden wird, jedoch stehen die Karten dafür sehr schlecht..........

Das eigentliche Wohnhaus war unspektakulär und leer. Das einzige was hier besonderes war, ist der echt seltsame Baustil.

Aber wer die Elfen, Feen und Zwerge sucht wird dann auch fündig und wird für einen kurzen Augenblick in eine andere Welt entführt. Hier wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail gearbeitet.

We were happy to get to visit this place after seeing other reports of visit logs by others. Unfortunately things seem to be moved in the houses, other chairs,…
There also seemed forms of life (empty bottles, cigarettes and empty cans, so lot of trash left behind).
It was our first Urbex experience and we like to do some more.
I could understand that I had to pay for getting the exact location coordinates (to protect the privacy of the location), still it wasn’t easy for google nor street view to exact point us to the right house.
I wish there could be ways to do this for free…
Still great location and we enjoyed it. I think I saw a notification in front of the house that announced that the house will be going down and demolished. So if u are interested in this location, you should make a move to give it a quick visite in the near future 👍

Wat een prachtige locatie is dit! We hadden hier al veel foto's van gezien dus we wilden deze absoluut bezoeken! De buitenkant van het huisje is al de moeite waard, laat staan wat er binnen te zien is. Dit was duidelijk de woning van een schilder/kunstenaar. Binnenkomen was geen enkel probleem, maar je moet wel opletten want deze tuin ligt in het zicht van de achterburen, dus als je pech hebt ziet men je.
Binnen is het zowel boven als beneden erg mooi! Beneden staat nog een piano en zijn er prachtige muurschilderingen te zien! Hier waan je je echt in een sprookje! Boven zijn de bedden nog mooi opgemaakt. Uit foto's van andere urbexers blijkt wel dat er wat dingen gestolen werden, deze dingen waren hier niet meer aanwezig. Al bij al weinig vandalisme te zien. We willen hier wel nog een keer terugkomen. Zeker de moeite waard!

Leuke huis wat op een zeer specifieke manier is ingericht. Duidelijk dat de bewoner het niet ontbrak aan fantasie en creativiteit.

We visited this beautifull place.
At the first time we went to the wrong house. it was also abandoned but totally empty haha.

I went here, I was so excited seing so much pictures and impressions. Finally had the guts to go and explore this artistic home.


To bad much had the feeling of being staged. Non the less still pretty and amazing to be there and see the amazing home one family must have had amazing experiences. Never have seen anything like this before and I could totally see how the family would look back from the living room back in the artistic room just to feel happy and satisfied.

Ein wunderschöner Ort ohne Vandalismus mit sehr vielen Highlights zum Fotografieren. Leider wurden wohl schon einige Dinge entwendet, die auf früheren Fotos/Videos noch vorhanden waren. Der Speicher ist nicht sicher und mit Vorsicht zu genießen. Hier ist es besser, die Treppe nicht zu verlassen.

dit is voor mij een zeer mooie en leuke locatie.geen sporen van vandalisme te zien en is in zeer goede staat .we hebben er van genoten en hadden een efteling gevoel met de schilderijen en beeldjes.je kan er wel makkelijk gezien worden door de buren en is ook langs drukke weg maar hebben geen problemen gehad tijdens ons bezoek.een echte topper waar ik zeker nog eens terug ga

Ondanks dat er alweer veel spullen verdwenen zijn hier, blijft het een geweldige locatie! Net alsof je zo een sprookje binnen stapt.
Alle kleurtjes en schilderingen zijn echt prachtig, bijna onwerkelijk dat dit zo is achtergelaten. Een top locatie als je het mij vraagt, maar o zo jammer dat hier toch ook weer spullen meegenomen worden.
Toegang is makkelijk, echter ligt het huis wel aan een doorgaande weg.

Ik hoop dat deze locatie lang in ere gehouden blijft!!

Dit schattig huis staat aan een drukke straat. Dus snel naar achteren gelopen. Het gekke is dat het huis aan de voorkant helemaal leeg is. Maar dit dus aan de achterkant staat. Het lijkt alsoof er regelmatig iemand langs komt om het schoon te maken. Best gek allemaal . Maar een hele bijzondere locatie.

I went there before the Bus stops here. Sadly there where a few signs of Vandalism and Robbery,but not few.
Beware of this Location,because the local Police Station is just a few Houses from this magical place.

And if you explore this : Please do not destroy or take anything there.
I hope to visit this beautiful Place again and see what changed.

The Fairy Tale House

Rapunzel mit dem langen Zopf, die sieben Zwerge und auch der gestiefelte Kater – sie alle wohnen in Odenthal im Bergischen Land. Dort sitzen sie an gedeckten Tischen und trinken Tee, turnen auf dem Dach einer Windmühle herum oder schlafen in weich gefederten Bettchen.

During my first adventure in Belgium we went to this location, it actually blew my mind! There was just so much to see that it was just hard too let it all in. There's just so much to make photos that I didn't know where to start.
This place is really beautiful!!
The artwork in this place is just Incredible.
Don't go to the basement tho because it's completely flooded with about 50cm of water.
If you are able to find this place I would highly recommend going there!

This house is one you won't find anywhere else. A true artist has lived here. The entire porch has been transformed into one big work of art. I found this one of the most fun urbex locations I've been to. Being a professional interior designer and hobby artist myself, I found this house particularly interesting.

Getting in was not difficult. Although we first made a mistake and entered an empty house next door. The location is less than ideal as the police station is 100m down the street. Nevertheless, we just walked in and out without any problems. The moment you walk in this house you forget about everything outside because it is like entering wonderland.

This house is full of interesting things. Such as old newspapers dating back to WW1 and WW2, a (half) gun, figurines, sculptures and other artwork scattered throughout the house. The whole place is actually a big work of art.

This is a beautiful location and hopefully it will be spared from vandalism.

Ondertussen heb ik deze locatie al zoveel keren op foto's voorbij zien komen, maar toch keek ik elke keer weer m'n ogen uit op deze foto's. Het is echt een zo'n mooi kunstzinnig huisje!

Kort van het huisje af ligt een klein parkeerplaatsje hier hebben we dan ook de auto geparkeerd.
Het huisje is vrij makkelijk te betreden, maar het ligt wel aan de drukke weg maar dit mocht de pret niet drukken. Al gelijk als je binnenkomt vallen de prachtige muurschilderingen en schilderijen op aan de muur. Het lijkt wel alsof je in een sprookje bent gestapt.

Als je verder het huisje inloopt kom je bij de woonkamer, hier gaat dan ook het sprookje verder. De piano maakt dit dan ook extra speciaal met op de achtergrond, sprookjesachtige muurschilderingen. Van de benedenverdieping tot de bovenverdieping stonden allerlei leuke schilderijtjes.

De geschiedenis van dit leuke huisje heb ik helaas niet. De eigenaar van dit leuke huisje zal enorm creatief zijn geweest en dit leuke kunstzinnige huisje hiervan is het prachtige resultaat.

Ook zijn we geen andere mensen hier tegengekomen.
Er was bijna niks van vandalisme te bekennen, laten we hopen/houden dat dat zo blijft..
Ik vond dit echt een prachtige locatie, en heb hier echt m'n ogen uitgekeken.

Dit super prachtige huisje is echt een aanrader!

Alles is in zeer goede staat en prachtig te fotograferen.

Hoewel deze locatie een beetje te bekend is geworden besloten we toch snel een kijkje te gaan nemen voor het gevandaliseerd zal worden. De buitenkant van het gebouw heeft al iets sprookjesachtigs maar binnen is dit nog veel meer het geval. De woonkamer is een hele mooie en ook de piano werkt nog steeds. Schitterend om al die kunstwerken te zien. Heeft een beetje een Efteling-gevoel.

Even verderop in het huis is er nog een mooi kamertje. De bovenverdieping is ook zeker de moeite waard, mooie opgemaakte bedden en ook de zolder is een aanrader om eens te bekijken. Een nadeel is wel dat ie heel bekend is en je er waarschijnlijk zoals wij nog andere mensen zal tegenkomen.. Dit gebouw is zeker de moeite waard om eens een bezoekje te brengen.

Maison Peintures

Deze locatie kwam zeer vaak voorbij afgelopen tijd dus het was een beetje vrezen voor veel vandalisme. Toen ik binnenstapte merkte ik bijna geen spoor op van vandalisme, het was net of je binnenstapte in een sprookje. Dit soort woningen kom je bijna nooit tegen, dus ik hoop dat deze ook gespaard blijft van vandalisme.

Het was een zeer lange zoektocht naar dit sprookjeshuisje, uiteindelijk hebben we locatie gevonden! gelukkig maar. Het huisje ligt op een drukke weg, een paar honderd meter verderop zit de politie. We hadden gewoon ons verstand op 0 gezet en zo zelfzeker mogelijk opgelopen en opzoek gegaan naar de ingang. Hiervoor moesten we niet snel zoeken.

Eenmaal binnen viel mijn mond oprecht open van verbazing, ik had nog nooit zo'n mooi sprookjesachtig huisje gezien. Het was een zeer unieke locatie, je krijgt niet vaak de kans als urbexer om zo'n intacte en magische locatie te doen. (inmiddels is het al een toplocatie onder vele urbexers.)

De mooiste ruimte in het huisje is toch wel de veranda, het is daar allemaal met de hand geschilderd. Alsook vond ik de lichtinval heel mooi doordat het dak doorzichtig was en er allemaal takken met bladeren boven hingen, had dit toch wel een unieke indruk. Ook was de piano een topstuk in de ruimte die het nog interessanter maakte.

Ik vermoed dat er toch wel heel "speciale" mensen hebben gewoond, ik vond de afwerking in iedere ruimte uniek. bv. de tegeltjes in de badkamer, de mooie lamp in de living, ook de zetel in de living vond ik best uniek.

Ik vind het ook nog belangrijk om te vermelden dat ik een enorm goed gevoel had bij de locatie, voelde "alsof je thuis komt". Ik voelde mij enorm op mijn gemak, het was een aangenaam gevoel.

Ik hoop dat deze locatie nog lang zo intact kan en mag blijven, nu de locatie een nieuwe eigenaar heeft. Alsook houdt de vorige eigenaar ook een oogje in het zeil, hij woont aan de overkant. Hij geeft niet heel veel meer om het huisje. Ik vermoed dat zijn vrouw overleden is.

Étant allée en pleine semaine pas un chat dans cet urbex!
Par contre attention bureau de police à 100m même pas !
Route fortement fréquentée donc vous devez paraître le plus naturel possible.

Une fois entrée un l'intérieur de cette maison. Un nouveau monde s'offre à nous. Les gens qui aiment l'art adoreront cette veranda à l'univers féérique. Cette pièce est vraiment magnifique, une petite pépite !
J'espère que cette maison restera en état ou que les eventuels acquéreurs garderont ce petit coin de paradis en état.

C'est presque une porte vers Alices aux pays des merveilles.

Really intriguing spot, according to what I heard, a couple of amateur painters lived there and the house just staid like this when they died.
