Visit duration    2 hours

Been here during my Panama visit in 2019, as i recently discovered this website im uploading some of my old visits. As my visit is more than 3 years ago, i do not know the current state.

Bocas del Toro is a Tropical island in the North region of Panama. It is a popular tourist destination and many wealthy American people have a vacation home there.

During our stay on Bocas del Toro we stayed in a hotel on the northside of the island, with on one site the Bocas Jungle and on the other site the Ocean, as far as the eye can see.
One day we decided to explore the beach of this island for a bit. Since this is a Remote place on the island with not much locals or tourism the beaches here are totally deserted.

After a short walk over the sandy beach (on which we almost walked into a poisonous Portuguese man o' war) we couldn't walk further over the beach so we walked into the forest instead.

A little bit further we suddenly ran into an abandoned villa, complete with abandoned pool and boat. This place was definitely not used by humans anymore. It was however, used by something else.

Monkeys!

We could hear the monkey's in the jungle behind the villa and saw some run away. The living room of the villa is now covered in Feces and Coconuts.

Since monkeys can be pretty unpredictable we didn't go into the second floor of the building, it also didn't really look save.

A bit further ahead, we found a very nice looking lagoon, with beautifull water and....

allot of lonely abandoned shoes??

These shoes gave off such a creepy vibe that we decided not to stay here for any longer than needed.

Upon return to our host we notified him of our adventure. He told us of an abandoned villa, owned by a wealthy American couple, nearby. (see my other post - American Bocas Villa.)
