Behind a reasonably anonymous white door, an entire pleasure palace of 3,260m² opens up. A multitude of rooms and the well-known staircase make this place an urbexer's dream. The walls are richly decorated and there are lots and mirrors on the walls. The premises have been used as a school, cinema, cultural club and more over the years. This place is too beautiful to be forgotten and renovation is in progress. It will be interesting to see what becomes of this beautiful place in the future.

Dit was een legaal bezoek aan deze locatie. Ik kon eindelijk een plekje reserveren voor de groep speciaal voor fotografie. We waren met 6 personen en wij konden elkaar al. Dus het was super gezellig.
Top om daar eens binnen te komen. Is namelijk zeer snel volgeboekt.

Ein Super Ort zum fotografieren mit Geschichte. Bei unserem Besuch welcher 1,5h dauerte konnten wir richtig tolle Fotos anfertigen. Wenn die Möglichkeit wieder besteht würden wir diesen Ort wieder besuchen!
Un endroit idéal pour prendre des photos avec l'histoire. Lors de notre visite, qui a duré 1h30, nous avons pu prendre de très belles photos. S'il y a une chance, nous reviendrions dans cet endroit!
A great place to take photos with history. During our visit, which lasted 1.5 hours, we were able to take really great photos. If there is a chance we would visit this place again!

'Aegidium'
*legal visit!*
This eclectic-style building with a neoclassical influence was erected in 1905 by the architect Guillaume Segers and functioned first as a theater and later as a cinema.
In 1929 it was taken over by the Parochial Works of Saint-Gilles and was given the name "Aegidium".
After repeated changes, in 1933 it was the turn of the interior that underwent major changes in the Art Deco style. The Aegidium turned out to be the seat of social activities of the Catholic parish .
These are the last months that they allow visitors because renovation works will start here soon.
What it will be after this is something I can't tell you because our Jermaineke was talking french and I didn't understand any saucise (lol) 🤡
Visiting this place is not possible at the moment 'cause it's fully booked , maybe you'll have more luck later (if you're interested) 🙈.
