The center of the district is the Dubai Autodrome.
Formula 4, motorcycle and 24-hour races are held here. This race track was inaugurated in 2004 and was actually intended to be used for Formula 1.
However, since Abu Dhabi was awarded the contract and the financial crisis took its toll, many construction projects were put on hold,
because it was no longer worth it.
Directly on the route should be, for example: b. The F1-X theme park, which would include, among other things, a racing museum, an IMAX cinema and the largest roller coaster in the Middle East, was created. However, this would only have been part of Dubailand, an even larger theme park. Dubailand would have been the world's largest shopping and leisure park. Of the 45 major projects planned, only a handful were completed.
Today there are a number of ruins around the race track. No matter whether it is a hotel, administration building or event center. Many of the buildings are already beyond the shell. Escalators are installed, air conditioning units, toilets, LED lamps and much more in their original packaging are stored in adjoining rooms.
Some of the buildings are “guarded” by security that is not very attentive.
