Well here it is guys!
Stokes last pottery factory to shut in 2009 i believe. This pot bank was one of the main revenue earners for the city of stoke back in the days of old! The factory supported families for generations to come.
The explore:
Me and a good mate of mine Dan set out from his house on a 2-minute walk to the premises. Access in entailed scaling a rather large fence onto the loading bay area. Once inside we walked the perimeter before climbing in under an old pile of chemicals used to make the pottery. The inside was full of cellar areas and underground features including waterworks etc. The entire place was decaying in a brilliant way. All of the walls filled green with ivy and mold. An ureters dream! The main offices at the front were featureless due to the amount of fire damage that has choked this end of the building into a crumbling submission. The shop floor and old horizontal baking lines still existed even with the graffiti and semi dereliction it still shone bright amongst the rest of the decay.
To summarize the whole place was a treasure trove of old pottery designs and lost memories abandoned overnight! I high;y recommend this place as it is full of great content.
