Découverte très sympathique du lieu. Visite assez "rapide" mais bon reportage photo de part les nombreux objets et autres encore présents.
On sent que le lieu est chargé d'histoire et que malgré cet air de petite fermette tranquille, se cache un aspect pesant de questionnement sur l'abandon de celle-ci.

Small cozy farm with lots of retro stuff to photograph. Judging by thr language of the books it seems it used to be the home of people from Albanian descent

This huge farm is a real beautiful one. The living space and the dining room are beautiful. If you go upstairs watch out for the holes in the floor. It´s a great urbex location! You can spend here more then a hour.

This farm has been around for quite a while in the urbex world. We only visited it last april, however, it has remained very intact. It is still an amazing time capsule as we even found some language books which were probably owned by the previous inhabitants. For more, check out our video on this place!

Toen we hier kwamen leek het wel alsof er elk moment verbouwingen konden starten. Al het materiaal stond buiten op de koer klaar en precies alsof één van de werkmannen het hoekje om zou komen wandelen. Gelukkig hebben we tijdens ons bezoek niemand gezien.
Door de netels en onder de struiken door naar achter, en daar stond een deur open. Links kwam je in een soort van zithoek terecht met 2 tv's. Rechts kwam je in de keuken uit waar je zeker mooie detailshots kon maken. Hier werd ons dan ook duidelijk waarom deze locatie Strawberry Farm heet :-).
Dan naar boven waar nog slaapkamers aanwezig waren. Nog vrij mooi intact en ook zeker de moeite om wat foto's te maken.
Ik weet niet hoe het ondertussen gesteld is met deze locatie, maar in augustus was het nog toegankelijk.

Deze locatie ligt gelegen in een rustig dorpje, we waren voor de middag hier gearriveerd, het was vrij duidelijk waar we moesten zijn. Toen we voorbij de ingang waren kwamen we op een leeg grasveld uit waar de buren goed zicht op ons hadden, zodra we voorbij het openstuk waren, kwamen we op het erf uit. Een deel van het gebouw was al ingestort, ik denk een van de bij gebouwen wat als opslag of als stallen eventueel werden gebruikt. We liepen het huis binnen en zagen al meubilair in de gang staan. De eetkamer/keuken gaf een huiselijke uitstraling waar al in geen tijden meer iemand geweest was. In een van de bovenste kamers deden we een aparte vondst, deze ligt dan ook uitgesteld op de desbetreffende kamer. Deze locatie is zeker een bezoekje waard.
This location is located in a quiet village, we arrived here before noon, it was pretty clear where we needed to be. When we passed the entrance we came to an empty lawn where the neighbors had a good view of us, as soon as we passed the clearing we came out on the yard. Part of the building had already collapsed, I think one of the buildings that were used as storage or as stables. We entered the house and already saw furniture in the hallway. The dining room / kitchen gave a homely feel to which no one had been in ages. In one of the upper rooms we made a separate find, which is therefore postponed in the relevant room. This location is definitely worth a visit.

Strawberry Farm, wel gekend door zo goed als alle urbexers, ook voor ‘beginners’ zoals ik. Ik werd niet overdonderd door de locatie, maar wel heel content dat ik deze kan afvinken op mijn lijstje!

On m’avait prévenu que l’accès serait potentiellement surveillé…Que du contraire! Je me suis garé juste devant, et après avoir contourné la ferme, j’accède dans une cour intérieur qui ressemble plus à une jungle qu’autre chose. L’intérieur est d’époque et en l’état.
Seuls les agressions du temps sont visibles. En trouvant l’endroit, je me suis posé la question : pourquoi la « strawberry farm » ?
Y’avait-il une culture de fraises dans cette ferme ? Que du contraire ! Son nom d’urbex vient tout simplement de la nappe dans la cuisine 🙂 C’était une petite ferme avec des petites étables sans intérêt.
Visite assez rapide, mais très riche au niveau de son contenu… Une belle surprise !

Mitten in einem kleinen belgischen Dorf, liegt einsam und verlassen ein Bauernhof.
In den Hofgebäuden gab es eigentlich nichts mehr zu sehen.
Nur das Wohnhaus bot noch ein paar interessante Motive.

De titel lijkt uit een sprookje te komen. En maakte ons nieuwsgierig om een bezoek te brengen. Een bevriende urbexer had ons deze locatie aangeraden.
Samen met mijn vriendin op pad maakt het urbexen ook altijd veel leuker.
Bij aankomst zagen we een bordje met daarop de tekst; gevaarlijke hond. Het deed ons toch even twijfelen of we naar binnen zouden gaan. Na wat observeren hoorden we toch geen gevaarlijke hond. Behalve ons eigen oude hondje dat in de wagen ongeduldig moest wachten.
Binnen zagen we meteen een oude typische boerderij in U vorm. Een klein woonhuis met daarbij stallingen voor dieren. En een grote houten poort, langs waar men het stro hoog opgestapeld op een kar, naar binnen kon rijden. Je kon het ook hier meteen voorstellen. Van die grote kalme paarden, die met hun lange staart de vliegen aan het verjagen waren. Terwijl de boer en zijn knecht het stro moesten stapelen.
De deur van het woonhuis stond al open. Zoals ze waarschijnlijk al jaren had open gestaan. Ook toen de boerderij nog bewoond was.
Mijn grootvader was ook een boer en telkens ik zo een oude boerderij betreed, denk ik nog even aan hem. Ook al is hij al 34 jaar overleden. Het doet me dan denken aan hoe ik als kleine jongen begin jaren 70, uitkeek om bij mijn grootouders, op de boerderij te zijn.
Van een badkamer of aparte keuken hadden deze mensen nog nooit gehoord. De woonkamer was tegelijk keuken, badkamer en plaats waar men aan tafel ging eten. Of zijn middagdutje deed.
Bij deze boer vonden we nog een verrassing op tafel. Welke kan je zien op mijn foto's. In een kleine andere kamer werd er blijkbaar tv gekeken na een zware werkdag.
De houten trap naar boven heeft ook meer als zijn beste tijd gehad. Toch gingen we ook naar boven even kijken. Daar waren 2 kleine slaapkamers met wat leuke items. Op de zolder hebben we ons niet meer gewaagd wegens te gevaarlijk.
Het moeten niet altijd grote locaties zijn om te genieten van het urbexen. Tegelijk schrijf ik er graag over. Zodat de jonge generatie niet vergeet hoe goed we het nu hebben. En hoe het vroeger was.

The title seems to come from a fairytale. And made us curious to visit. A friend of urbex recommended this location to us.
Traveling with my girlfriend always makes urbexing much more fun.
Upon arrival we saw a sign with the text on it; dangerous dog. It made us doubt for a moment whether we would go inside. After some observation we did not hear a dangerous dog. Except our own old dog who had to wait impatiently in the car.
Inside we immediately saw an old typical farmhouse . A small house with stables for animals. And a large wooden gate, through which one could drive in the straw piled high on a cart. You could also immediately imagine it here. Of those big, calm horses that were chasing flies with their long tails. While the farmer and his servant had to stack the straw.
The door was already open. As it had probably been open for years. Even when the farm was still inhabited.
My grandfather was also a farmer and every time I enter such an old farm, I remember him for a moment. Even though he has already passed away for 34 years. It reminds me of how, as a little boy in the early 1970s, I was looking forward to being on the farm with my grandparents.
These people had never heard of a bathroom or separate kitchen. The living room was at the same time a kitchen, bathroom and place where people sat at the table. Or took his afternoon nap.
We found another surprise on the table with this farmer. Which can you see in my photos. Apparently, TV was being watched in a small other room after a hard day at work.
The wooden staircase to the top is nog more in its best days. Yet we also went to look upstairs. There were 2 small bedrooms with some nice items. We did not venture into the attic because it was too dangerous.
It doesn't always have to be large locations to enjoy urbexing. At the same time I like to write about it. So that the young generation does not forget how well we are now. And how it used to be.

This abandoned farmhouse, mostly referred to as Strawberry Farm, is the perfect example of what we call 'Frozen in Time'.
While exploring we found many items that where once owned by the former residents. We also think that the nickname 'Strawberry farm' comes from some items inside the house and not because it was an actual strawberry farm ;).

Deze kleine boerderij was zijn bezoekje meer dan waard! Er stonden nog tal van leuke attributen en het was al snel duidelijk waaraan deze locatie zijn naam te danken had.
