Once this training ground belonged to the military unit of the Taman Division. It was used for training and shooting and fire control of an artillery battalion from closed firing positions.

On its territory there were several buildings in which classrooms and stands were housed, as well as a warehouse in which all the equipment of the landfill and a weapon from the «Gvozdika» self-propelled howitzer lay.
