Aan het eind van ons weekend bij deze locatie geweest. Precies tegenover werd een nieuw huis gebouwd. Aangezien het zondag was was er niemand aan het werk en waren we zo brutaal om daar te parkeren. Het is even door de bosjes kruipen om bij de auto's te komen. Erg leuke locatie. Het huis was stikvol met boeken.

Goats In the Woods or Bambi Wheels is a small location in Belgium. In a backyard is a collection of old 2cv cars that belonged to a collector. Why the location has been abandoned is unclear.

Manchmal gibt es Locations mit einprägsamen Vorkommnissen, bzw. man trifft auf Person & es entstehen seltsamen Konversationen. Genau dies wiederfuhr mir gleich doppelt, bei Goats in the Woods. Als ich am Standort der Location ankam, war die Lage super, es war sehr ruhig & keine Menschenseele war zu sehen. Ich parkte ein Stück die Straße hinauf & lief in Richtung des Geländes. Doch plötzlich stand direkt vor dem Haus der Location ein Fahrzeug, aber es war nicht nur irgendein Auto, zu meiner großen Verwunderung, war es ein ganz neuer Tesla, der hier irgendwie fehl am Platz wirkte. Dieser ließ mich jedoch nicht von meinem Vorhaben anbringen. Im Auto saß ein Schlipsträger & begutachtete das Anwesen bzw. kunschaftete es aus. Es dauerte nicht lange, da nahm er mich wahr & stieg aus. Dieser fragte mich ganz im überraschen, ob ich der Besitzer dieses Anwesens sei, was ich Ihm sofort verneinte. Darüber war Er komischerweise sehr enttäuscht & warf einen Brief in den Briefkasten des Hauses. Da mir seine Rolle nicht ganz klar war, fragte ich Ihn ganz neutral, ob ich Fotos machen dürfte, was Er mit dem Satz, es sei Ihm egal, Ihm gehöre dieses Grundstück nicht antwortete. Meine Vermutung legt nahe, dass dieser Mann höchstwahrscheinlich vom Ordnungsamt kam & dem Besitzer eine Beschwerde oder Mahnung, wegen des Zustandes des gesamten Anwesens vorbeigebrachte & hoffte, Ihn persönlich anzutreffen. Nachdem Er davonfuhr, war mir dort nicht mehr richtig wohl & so beeilte ich mich & entfernte mich vom Gelände. Leider entdeckte mich dabei ein älterer Mann, der mit dem Reden gar nicht mehr aufhörte & mich sogar zum Kaffee einlud, was sich allerdings durch Verständigungsprobleme verschiedenen Sprachkenntnisse als sehr schwierig darstellte. Als ich endlich an meinem Auto ankam, lief erneut eine Person die Straße hinunter mit sehr grimmigen Gesichtsausdruck & ungepflegten äußeren, ob Er wohl der Besitzer war?

We went to this place for the abandoned cars.
But we also took a look inside the house. It was a hell of a job to walk trough the house.
Because the owner was a hoarder and there was so many stuff...

Op een mooie dinsdagmiddag in april zijn we aangekomen bij een locatie genaamd "goats in de woods". De geitjes verwijzen naar de oude deux chevauxs die zich op het domein bevinden. Je vindt er hele oude auto's, maar ook auto's die er nog niet heel lang geleden zijn achter gelaten.
De eigenaar had een duidelijke voorliefde voor Citroën. Hoe het allemaal zo tot stand is gekomen, hebben we niet kunnen achterhalen.
Het mooie aan deze locatie is dat de natuur de overhand heeft genomen. Het huis op het domein hebben we overgeslagen. En hebben we ons vermaakt met de oude auto's.
