The Unfinished Church of St. George’s Island in Bermuda is not a location typical to this list. Less of a haunted, forgotten place, the skeleton of this 19th century church is one of the highlights of this charming island.
I still believe that is deserves to be talked about, as the sweeping Romantic architecture is what many imagine when an Urban Explorer brings up talk of modern ruins.
When leaving the ferry, the walk up to the building is quite pleasant, about a mile through the commercial district. It is near the vest of a hill, surrounded by houses. Indeed, the current owners and caretakers of the property allow chickens to dart about. While the constant stream of tourists made access into the structure unlikely, 95% of what ther is to see can be seen through the wide empty slots in the structure.
