VORSICHT!!!

This bucket-wheel excavator is jobless since the early 2000s. Orignially it was planned to scrap it. Gladly it was kept as a landmark instead. In 2019 there were new plans to destroy the Beast. "Too dangerous, too rusty, too expensive, too many metal thefts and vandalism". But again it was rescued, this time by monument conservators. The future is still unknown. The owners want to scrap it anyway. Hopefully "The Beast" remains as a sleeping beauty.
Indeed it is arounded by a fence, but you can still take beautiful pictures from various perspectives. (Also there are many holes in the fence ^^). Some even climb up on it. But be careful! It's your choice if you want to take the more dangerous way to the top, take the risk to stand/walk under it (sometimes metal parts are falling down) or just enjoy the view from the distance.
Have fun!
