The caste has been demolished in 2017, but I've decided to re edit the pictures I did at that time, so here's a opportunity to see something new of this classic !

It was a winter time urbex session on a shiny beautiful day with snow. Apparently, there was an easy access to the castle but we missed it. Instead, we entered to the site from the main road side and had to walk through the forest till the castle.
Although there were other groups of people present in the castle during the visit, we could enjoy the place without any interruption. It was an amazing, beautiful place for exploration - feel sad about it's faith.

Malgré son état de presque-ruine, c'était un endroit magnifique où je me suis sentie hyper bien. Quand on était sur le terrain et qu'on se dirigeait vers lui, c'était le moment le plus stressant puis quand on est arrivés tout près, on entendait qu'il y avait beaucoup de monde. Effectivement, il y avait plusieurs groupes de personnes déjà présents. Je n'ai pas fait beaucoup de photos et ça je le regrette beaucoup maintenant qu'il n'est plus là. Mais j'ai au moins réussi à faire une belle photo de la façade, que j'ai transformé de manière fantastique, qui est depuis des années la photo de profil de ma page et mes fonds d'écran et qui le restera toujours. il était en très mauvais état et assez dangereux mais toujours aussi beau de l'extérieur. J'ai beaucoup soutenu les démarches contre sa démolition. Malheureusement il n'est plus là. Ce n'était qu'un bâtiment pour certains, que j'ai vu une seule fois en plus, mais je suis aujourd'hui toujours aussi triste qu'il soit démoli. C'est, pour moi, un coin de paradis qui a été détruit.

Über das Objekt

Die Geschichte dieses berüchtigten Schlosses bewegt die Gemüter derer, die es kennen. Das bloße Erreichen ist extrem riskant und beschwerlich.

Es mit eigenen Augen zu sehen, sprengt alle Vorstellungen und Eindrücke, die man von Fotos kennt.

Davor zu stehen ist eine Ehre, gleichsam der Achtung vor einer alten Dame. Doch diese Dame verzaubert - trotz, oder, gerade wegen ihres Alters! Angefangen hat alles einmal als einfacher Bauernhof auf einer Anhöhe am Rande eines Waldes.


Für eine wohlhabende Familie wurde hier Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts ein majestätisches Schloss im neugotischen Stil erbaut. Der Bau zog sich über mehrere Phasen und bekam 37 Jahre nach Baubeginn einen großen Turm, der eine grandiose Aussicht über das Umland bot. Im 2. Weltkrieg war das Schloss von deutschen Truppen besetzt, später jedoch wieder in fester Hand der Familie. Genutzt wurde es ab den 1960er Jahren als Kinderheim mit bis zu 200 Plätzen. Fast 20 Jahre später erwies sich jedoch der Unterhalt als zu kostenintensiv. Es folgte die Nutzung als Schule sowie für Seminare.

Indes waren mittlerweile Renovierungsarbeiten vonnöten, jedoch fand sich kein Investor und auch kein Interessent, der die Schlossanlage weiter nutzen wollte. Etwa zu Beginn der 1990er Jahre folgte die endgültige Schließung, und 14 Jahre danach, haben Vandalismus, Witterung und fehlende Beheizung ihr übriges getan.

Unbewohnbar und einsturzgefährdet:

Immer mehr Bereiche des Schlosses sind unpassierbar geworden durch herabgestürzte Decken. Wasser kann überall ungehindert eindringen. Der nasse Zerfall ist in vollem Gang und vielerorts abgeschlossen - nur noch die Ziegelsteinwände sind verblieben. Davon betroffen sind auch die italienischen Stuckdecken. Das Gebäude wird durch Stahlträger zusammengehalten. Der äußere Eindruck lässt nicht einmal ansatzweise den traurigen Zustand im innern schließen. Doch auf den zweiten Blick erkennt man rund um das Schloss abgestürzte Zinnen-Steine, die dem Wind keinen Widerstand mehr bieten konnten.

Traumschloss ohne Zukunft

Der Abbruch war trotz einer massiven Bürgerinitiative nicht zu verhindern. Es wurde 2017 bis auf den kleinen Bereich der Orangerie abgerissen.
