This brick factory has an interesting story. It has been unused for a very long and as time progressed, nature took over the building. Since some parts of the factory was in such a bad condition, the government wants to demolish it.

However, this means that the iconic characteristics like the drying sheds will be gone. This is a big deal because these drying sheds are one of the last in the whole province. The owner doesn't want to lose this cultural value, so he tried everything to stop the government from demolishing this factory (which is why this location is called factory protest). Despite all the protests and letters he sent, the government still decided to demolish it.

They started last year with the main roof that contained asbestos, but stopped halfway through. They announced that the demolition will continue in October 2021, so by the time you're reading this report it is probably already gone.

While I was exploring, I heard someone climbing through the windows to get inside. I panicked and tried to hide from this person, because I don't know who he might be. I hid under the drinking bar for almost 40 minutes, while this person made loud noises and I was terrified that I would encounter him.

After some neighbours pointed out that they heard this person as well, they came to see what was happening at the windows. Luckily he left after some time and I continued to explore the rest of the factory.
