Visit duration    2 hours

I arrived at Rock A Hoola on February 16th 2019. It is an abandoned water-park with many buildings and structures still remaining. I was shocked as to how nice of a spot this was to explore, as there was plenty to take a look at. The places condition is poor as there is graffiti on almost all of the structures as well as very obvious arson and destruction to individual buildings. Nonetheless it was very expansive and a nice place to take a day exploring. There was remnants of street markings from an old parking lot near the entrance (This "lot" was not accessible by car). As you continue to walk towards the park entrance. there is an abandoned arcade (All machines and signs removed) and what appears to be a ticket booth or a snack stand. Once you proceed further. there is an iconic "Waterpark" sign. Continuing through the park, you will find a drained lazy river, a group of small slides descending into a kids pool, many different drained pools, and a concrete/metal structure that was once used as a line for a slide. Take caution exploring here, as there are unguarded drop offs, many chunks of glass and wood, and it is VERY hot even during the spring time. During my visit there were a few people exploring, as well as an ATV group. The area is labelled as "private property, but it sits on BLM land. Overall it was a very nice location to explore.
