Pripyat is probably every Urbexer's dream. And it is completely understandable and justified. Finding the location isn't hard at all but entry is hard, I recommend getting a guide. Not only because entering the zone legally makes it easier (there are multiple military outposts, also right before Pripyat itself) but also out of respect for all the people who were involved in the incident. This is first and foremost a place where a terrible tragedy happened, it should be treated as such and we should honour the people who put their lives at risk to solve the disaster. The city itself is amazing, I went there with a guide and we were also allowed to discover the city for ourselves a bit and go inside several buildings. It's definitely worth a visit.

While walking around the ghost city of Pripyat, one can find weird installations made by anonymous visitors. This one was found near the entrance to an apartment block.

Nobody needs me to tell them what occured here back in April 1986. I remember seeing it on the news and watching documentaries years later and tried to imagine what people went through. I wanted to visit for a long time. You can't visit without a guide so I booked a tour with an overnight stay 19km from the nuclear power plant. There were about 10 in our group and during our tour we saw no other groups of tourists. Our guide let us wander freely for a small amount of time. Popularity has soared since the mini series 'Chernobyl'. A terrible tragedy happened here and people should show respect when visiting (I'm sure most do). Many people suffered and sacrificed themselves and they shouldn't be forgotten.
