Future Village was built at Emerald Bay located in the northern Taiwan in the 1960s. It was odd that people bulit villas on the coastline during the time which Taiwan and Chaina were having an intense situation. The construction of the UFO houses were fast and the appearance were eye-catching. At that time, many rich people bought the houses and took them as holiday houses. Only few people actually settled down there. However, because of the material of the houses could be easily eroded by sea breeze and make them hard to be repair, people abandoned the houses. Only a few people still live in some of the UFO houses today.
