Maison Boon is a farmhouse on the countryside somewhere in Belgium. It is one of few locations I went twice because I did not manage to get in the first time due to the prescence of the current owner who lives next door. Most people who do urbex in Belgium heard of the stories of a crazy woman, a relative (probably the daughter) of the farmer who used to live there. Some of these stories became urban myths. Urbexers got their cars damaged, cameras destroyed or beaten. I even read at some time there lied rotting meat in the house to distract explorers. When I was checking those stories I got triggered. Recent reports on the location are rare so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived I noticed the whole fence and gate are full of warning plates and I even saw a camera but once on the farm yard the entrance to the house was not that difficult. The house was pretty dark and had still all it’s beautiful old furniture in it but I noticed immediately the wallpaper was damaged in most of the rooms, probably to make it less photogenic . Unfortunately they didn’t know I’m a fan of decay. I only stayed 15 minutes in the house because I didn’t feel comfortable with the knowledge a car was parked at the neighbours house. With these pictures in my pocket I succeed to leave the property safely and out of sight.
