While visiting the Baikal lake in Russia we went to a mountain hill to watch the view one night. On the steep slope we found an old ski resort hotel nearly abandoned and these holiday apartments fully abandoned.

There was a ski lift to get to the top of the hill to watch the sunset behind the mountains. We took the ski lift (it was running even in summertime) and had some dinner at the almost abandoned ski hotel.

Someone invested a lot of money to build all those apartments, but it looks like they weren’t even finished. Although searching through the area we saw signs that some of these apartments was finished and a few people still lived there, but they were worn down and not well taken care of.

This area has a very beautiful nature scenery and many Russians go here for their summer vacation as well in the wintertime to go on the lake and down the slopes.
