Das Wetter an dem Tag lässt leider zu wünschen übrig, Sturm und Regen, nicht die besten Voraussetzungen um sich eine Lost Place anzuschauen. Dennoch gehen wir in das Gebäude, es riecht nach Metall und Maschinenöl. Das Pfeifen des Winds und der Regen der auf das Dach aus Metall prasselt verleihen der Atmosphären eine drückende Stimmung. Immer wieder hat man das Gefühl nicht alleine in dem Gebäude zu sein, gerade wenn der Wind die Türen zuschlägt. Aber der Ort war es definitiv wert, die Größe und die Dinge die noch zu finden und zu fotografieren sind machen die Fabrik zu etwas besonderem.
Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts, im Zuge der industriellen Revolution, wurde der Betrieb gegründet um den gigantischen Bedarf an Stahlwaren zu decken. Im 2. Weltkrieg wurde die Fabrik dem Erdboden gleichgemacht, während des Wiederaufbaus aber neu errichtet. Der Stahl-Boom der 60er Jahre führte zur Hochzeit der Fabrik. Nachdem in 2000er Jahren die Produktion verlagert wurde hatte der Standort keine Daseinsberechtigung mehr und wurde geschlossen.
The stormy and rainy weathr aren´t the best conditions to visit an abandoned place. Yet we go in the building , it smells like steel an machine oil. The whistle of the wind and the patter of the rain on the metal roof makes the atmosphere oppressive. Sometime we have the feeling of not being alone, especially when the wind slams the doors. But the place was defintley worth it. The size, the stuff that lies around and the thing to take a photo from are making it to a special place.
During the industrial revolution in the 19th century the factory was founded, to cover the giant requirement of steel. In the WWII it was razed to the ground, but was build up again during the reconstruction of Germany. The steel boom in 60th brought the factory to his highest point. Afte the production was outsourced in the 2000s there was no neeed for the factory so it was closed.
