Hunters Hotel of Hotel Sand in het noorden van het zwarte woud is legaal te bezoeken. Ik heb een afspraak gemaakt en tegen een bedrag konden we 2 uren rondlopen. Die tijd hebben we ook gebruikt. Er is veel te zien .Misschien af en toe iets teveel gestileerd maar het blijft een mooie locatie.

Im Sommer 2020 war ich im Schwarzwald unterwegs und besuchte dort einen ganz besonderen Lost Place. Ich hatte schon viel von dem Kurhaus Sand gehört, nun wollte ich mir ein eigenes Bild machen.Also machte ich mich auf den Weg in den Schwarzwald. Direkt an der Straße gelegen befindet sich das Kurhaus Sand. Von außen hat das Gebäude noch heute einen ganz besonderen Charm, der die Zeiten von früher erahnen lässt.
Ich parkte direkt vor dem Hotel. Am Eingang hängt ein Zettel mit einer Telefonnummer über die man den Kontakt zum Betreten des Hotels erreicht. Nach Vereinbarung einer geringen Gebühr konnte ich das Gebäude betreten.
Erbaut wird das Kurhaus im Jahr 1874 zunächst als eine einfache Hütte für Waldarbeiter und Fuhrpersonal.
1891 wird die Hütte zum Kurhotel erweitert.
Hier residierten Persönlichkeiten wie Kaiserin Sissi aus Österreich.
Nach dem 1.Weltkrieg ließ die Anzahl der Besucher nach und das Hotel wechselte mehrmals den Besitzer.
Nach dem 2.Weltkrieg blühte das Hotel erneut auf.
Die Geschichte des Hotels endet 1994.
2005 wurde der Betrieb eingestellt.

Ein sehr beeindruckendes Hotel, welches schon 20 Jahre leer steht. Es ist nur legal zu besuchen, der Verwalter wohnt direkt angrenzend zum Hotel und hat eine Baumplantage vorm Hotel. Mit seiner Zustimmung und gegen eine Spende kann man drinnen Bilder machen. Er kümmert sich auch um den Erhalt des Hotels und dekoriert immer wieder um.

Ein schwer zu beschreibender verlassener Ort. Klaviere, Geweihe, Betten, Treppen, unzählige Details,.. das Hotel hat alles, was das Urbexer- und Fotographenherz begehrt.
Definitiv auch eine längere Anreise wert!

A legal visit , a beautiful place but a bit strange
The man who let me in said it was abandoned in 1994 , but there are no traces of real decay
The rooms are beatiful , but after a while you get the feeling everything is staged for photographers
Well , maybe so , but the hotel is stunning and I'm glad I visited the place

Caché dans les fins fonds de l’Allemagne, l’Hunters Hôtel restera l’un des plus beaux lieux que j’ai visité. Une gigantesque bâtisse qui regorge de trésors en tous genres. Une décoration à couper le souffle, on ne sait plus ou donner de la tête. Malgré quelques pièces fermées, les plus belles pièces étaient quand même ouvertes notamment le salon avec toutes ses bêtes empaillées. Aujourd’hui, le gardien du lieu vit sur place et surveille énormément l’hôtel.

One of the best Photo-Spots from the entire black forest! Sometimes it has rather the atmosphere of a museum about time travel than a lost place.
It is to mention, that there is someone living. You'll find his phonenumber on the entrance of the building. If you want to get in, you'll pay 10€ per hour per person. But it's worth it in my opinion!
