This beautiful neo-baroque villa was built in the 1920's for Pollacsek Bernát, but changed owners many times after, up until the II. world war. It survived the bombing of Budapest and got in the hands of the Hungarian Communist Party. They used it for party meetings and art exhibitions until 1965, when it became a kindergarten.

In the 1990's the government sold it to a private owners, and again, it changed owners many times, but none of them renovated it, so it has been standing empty and abandoned for more than 20 years.

The inside of the villa shows a unique mix of styles, where you can still clearly see the glamour of the 20's, but also the many signs of the communist times.
